With attention spans dwindling and the comfort of unlimited content at the swipe of a finger, including an engaging hook to immediately start the first 2-3 seconds of your video content is essential. High watch time remains important, but if you leave the best part of your content at the end to keep the audience waiting, it will be a tough ask to keep their attention that long.
